Hi Chad, glad my article was well received! I was very pleased to see people apparently getting value out of it. I couldn’t agree with you more about the satisfaction of churning through material, and it’s a hard habit to break. If I ever I catch myself doing this these days, I just remind myself I’d opted to make the investment in this subject for a reason. In any case, I can slow myself down down now, or slow myself down in the future when I have to re-read it anyway, seems a no-brainer to me after that!
Maya, I’m glad you’ve found it useful too. Of course you can add ever increasing spaces to your repetition until you really nail a subject. For example, extra 20 and 30 day reminders on top of the 1,3,7, and 10. On that subject, cram has some really great tools for testing and memorising a subject so you can set your reminders and know you’ve really got something down.
A question for you both, or anyone reading in fact, what was is that prompted yourselves to think ‘the way I’m learning isn’t working’?
